A Warm Environment: The Children’s Assessment Center Case Study

The Challenge

After moving into a new facility, The Children’s Assessment Center wanted to fill large empty walls with bright, inviting signs and visual graphics to create a warm and safe environment that would be appealing and welcoming to the children they care for each day.

The Solution

Outside, colorful acrylic cut-outs of children happily playing welcome visitors. A large, dimensional sign above the front entrance guides guests inside. Once inside, interior wayfinding signs with arrows help them navigate.

Interior walls are covered with graphics featuring the center’s core values and positive messages that motivate team members and reassure the children, using the same whimsical graphics used outside. Hanging flags adorning the hallways extend the messaging further and brighten up dark spaces, making the area even more welcoming.

The Result

The Children’s Assessment Center now has a warm, friendly feel. The creative signs and graphics have helped make a real difference in the atmosphere.
